We
have reached the milestone of our 100th performance this season
visiting almost 50 venues and performing in excess of 400 different
pieces.
Our repertoire covers both sacred and secular works through the ages, spanning nine centuries to the present day.
We have commissioned one work for choir and narrator,
Sea Tongue written by Jeremy Jackman with words by Kevin Crossley-Holland,
and have perfomed the piece a number of times at venues on the North Norfolk coast.
It tells the story of a stormy night and the ghostly bell tolling from a village long-lost to the sea.
Excepts from a review of one performance can be found on the
Press Comments page.
We premiered another commission written by Jeremy,
Ask these stones, for a concert to celebrate 900 years of the founding of Wymondham Abbey.
The building also served as inspiration for the
Wymondham Choruses by Geoffrey Poole and we were honoured to give the first performance in the Abbey.
We have performed a number of other original pieces and arrangements as well as many well known choral works.
